Borrow It At The Library!
Yes, you can borrow books, magazines, movies, and other literary items at the Morrill Memorial Library, but many people are not aware of their selection of diverse items that library card holders have available.
Older residents may not want to spend money, especially on a fixed budget, on things they might only use seasonally, occasionally, or even once. In comes the Morrill Memorial Library in Norwood. It is a little-known secret (but growing every day), that there are many other things on the library shelves available to rent for free. Grandkids coming over for the day? How about getting some lawn games? Looking to learn a musical instrument but not sure if it is something that will stick? Try it out through the library! How about trying a new board game, borrowing a power tool, or personal electronics?
There are too many items on the library list to mention here. To view the entire selection, visit the library website at www.norwoodlibrary.org, use the Books and More pulldown menu, then highlight Library of Things. This list will open up a whole new world…free of charge!
ARE YOU OK?
The Norfolk County Sherriff’s Office offers an “Are You Okay?” program. It is a free daily telephone program that checks on the wellbeing of senior citizens or people with disabilities. You will receive a daily call to ask, “Are You Ok?” This program allows residents the comfort and security needed to maintain independence and give them and their families peace of mind.
