Halloween Swap!
By Michele Taranto
As the Halloween season approaches, many parents may be finding they have a closetful of costumes and each year need to purchase another; because who wants to wear the same costume twice! And what if there are multiple children in the house? Also, this swap also includes adults who enjoy Halloween and like to get dressed up!
The Morrill Memorial Library and Progress Norwood has a solution! The goal is to endorse reusing perfectly good costumes and since Sept, 18, and through Oct. 30, the library is hosting a Halloween Costume Swap! Give those costumes an opportunity for a second trick-or-treat, and shop the racks for what is available. The swap is accessible any time the library is open,
What Costumes Are Needed?
Children’s sizes from infant through kids’ sizes.
Family-friendly adult costumes will also be accepted.
The donation must clearly be a costume, no clothing will be accepted.
Costumes must be Gently used and in good condition.
Complete costumes with accessories are preferred.
How Do I Participate?
Costumes can be donated in the labeled cardboard bin at the entrance to the children’s room.
Looking for a costume? Shop the costume racks just like a store! Visit the children’s room entrance and give a gently-used costume a new home!
Is This Only An Even Swap?
You do not need to donate a costume to take one.
Donations only are also accepted.
Costumes will be available on a first come, first serve basis, and unfortunately, that means no saving costumes. For more information or to answer questions, contact the children’s department at [email protected].
