Norwood Cultural Council Elects New Officers
The Norwood Cultural Council elected a new slate of officers at its February meeting and welcomes Ieshia Karasik as Chairperson, Arati Paranjpe as Secretary, Kate Sibbing-Dunn, who previously served as Co-Chair, as Treasurer, and Amy Pfingston as Grants Coordinator.
“I am humbled by my fellow Council members’ support,” new Chair Ieshia Karasik said. “I look forward to working with all the Board members to expand our outreach and increase Council-driven events for the Norwood community. Upcoming events include a grant writing workshop, pop-up art exhibits, and participation in local events.
We will be posting our annual survey in June with results to be announced in August. Since the feedback we receive from Norwood citizens determines the priorities for our upcoming grant cycle in October, we encourage everyone to take the time to think about what educational and cultural activities and events they would like available to the community and complete the survey.”
The mission of the Norwood Cultural Council (NCC) is to promote excellence, access, and education in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences, in order to improve the quality of life for residents of Norwood. Comprised of committed volunteer residents, the NCC meets monthly with the purpose of supporting events and programs via grants from the Town of Norwood and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
