Paul Halkiotis Recognized by Neprwa for Public Service and Environmental Stewardship
NepRWA stated that,
“Since joining the town several years ago, Paul has made quite an impression, and has:
Led Norwood to be the first watershed town to complete the state’s Municipal Vulnerability Planning (MVP) process for climate adaptation,
Helped acquire and begin planning park improvements for a piece of riverfront land in the environmental justice neighborhood of South Norwood,
Worked on updating local stormwater management rules to prevent polluted runoff,
Pursued removal of an obsolete dam in order to prevent flooding and improve habitat for native trout.
A big thank you to Paul, whose efforts are a great example of the transformational role that municipal staff can play in their communities!”
Thank you to Paul Halkiotis and NepRWA for all of their work for Norwood’s environment and residents!
