The Norwood running community does not take a break around Thanksgiving. And running is a great opportunity to remain “socially distant” during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Norwood Turkey Trot is typically held the Sunday before Thanksgiving, however, this year, the event be held with a few changes to adhere to Massachusetts health guidelines.
Another slight adjustment; the runners pick the course and when they will hit the streets. The 34th Norwood Turkey Trot will be held virtually in 2020, from Sunday, Nov. 15 through Sunday, Nov. 22nd. A four mile race route, however, is available on the registration website. The fee is $20, plus a $2.50 sign-up fee and registration ends Friday, Nov. 20, 7 p.m. A free long-sleeve shirt will be given to the first 100 registrants, $10, once they are gone.
